Lease agreement signed January 5, 1903 between Bank of N. Manchester (Dayton C. Harter, trustee, and Daniel W. Krisher, president) and the Eel River Telephone Company, ten-year lease, $60/year:

"The entire east half of the second story of the Bank of North Manchester Building, together with the unobstructed use of the stair-way and the hall-way leading to the second floor of said building. Said Bank building is located on the west half of lot no. Three in the original plat of the town of North Manchester, Indiana."

Note: D.C. Harter, President of Eel River Telephone Co. signed notarized lease; Harter also signed as Trustee (Bank) along with Daniel W. Krisher.


The Eel River Telephone Company was located on the second floor of the Bank building. See sign on building in 1911 photograph.
