Fire broke out in the dry kiln of the North Manchester Planing Mill Co's. mill about noon yesterday and created some excitement, but was put out before any great amount of damage was done or the fire department was ready for work. The kiln was filled with heading which had been in it a week and was dry as powder and might have caused a serious fire.
