Catharine Unger. Sunday evening Mrs. Catharine Unger, a well known pioneer woman of this township, died at the home of her son, John Unger, a farmer living east of Servia. Last fall Mrs. Unger sustained a fall which broke her leg and on account of her advanced age she never recovered from the injury, having been confined to her bed ever since. Mrs. Unger, whose maiden name was Brower, was born in Preble county, Ohio. She came to this county with her husband, the late Aaron Unger, who died in 1872, about the year 1843 and has resided in the vicinity ever since. She was the mother of four children, two of whom are living. She was for many years a member of the Dunkard church. At the time of her death her age was 84 years, four months and 24 days. Funeral was held Tuesday forenoon at Pleasant Grove church conducted by Elder S.S. Ulrey in the presence of a large gathering of friends and relatives.
