Dr. Ladoska Z Bunker (1902-2000)

Dr. Ladoska Z Bunker, 97, a long-time North Manchester doctor died Saturday night at the Wabash Skilled CareCenter. Dr. Ladoska Z Bunker practiced medicine in the North Manchester area for 44 years. She died at 10:30pm Saturday February 19, 2000. Dr. Bunker graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine in 1928. Following graduation she was a professor at the IU School of Nursing. She then returned to North Manchester where she operated her medical practice. She was a member of the Indiana Medical Society, the North Manchester Historical Society and was a 50-year member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She also was on the committee of the American College of Trauma Surgeons. Dr. Bunker was born on June 6, 1902, in North Manchester, the daughter of Frank Percy and Jennie May (Reed) Bunker. She is survived by a nephew, Dr. Reed Riner, Flagstaff, AZ. She was preceded in death by a sister. Friends may call from 2 to 7 pm Wednesday at the DeLaughter-McKee Mortuary, North Manchester. Burial will be in the Oaklawn Cemetery.
