Mrs. Stiles Dies in Minnesota
The body of Mrs. Gertrude C. Stiles, wife of George Stiles, of St. Paul, Minnesota, arrived in North Manchester yesterday and was taken to the funeral home of Walter Wright. At three o'clock funeral services were held in the Oaklawn cemetery, conducted by members of the Eastern Star, of which the deceased was a member. The body was laid to rest by the side of a daughter, who had died 25 years ago today.
Mrs. Stiles was a daughter of Dr. David O. Goshorn, was born in North Manchester, spending her childhood and early married life in this city. Death was caused by hardening of the arteries, from which she had suffered for some time. She is survived by her husband, George Stiles, well remembered by the older people in North Manchester, and by two brothers, Grover of Chillicothe, Ohio, and A.H. Goshorn of Huntington.
