Jacob Heeter was born in Montgomery county, Ohio, Feb. 27, 1825. Died April 15, 1904, aged 79 years, 1 month and 18 days. He was married to Elizabeth Ulrey Nov. 22, 1849. Moved to Wabash county, Ind., in 1851. He with his wife united with the German Baptist church in 1853 and lived a devoted Christian until death. To them were born 9 children, 3 sons and 6 daughters. Two sons and three daughters have preceded him to the better land. He was a kind and affectionate husband and father, a noble citizen, noted for his generosity and loving disposition. He has done much for the upbuilding of his community always leading a helping hand in all efforts for good. Funeral was held at the brick church west of town Monday forenoon and was one of the largest ever held there. Services were conducted by Elder Albert Wright.
