John P. Gingerick, an old and respected citizen of this township, died at his home five miles east of town, last Saturday night, aged 65 years, 5 months, and 11 days. Deceased was a pioneer in Wabash county, a member of the M.E. church, and highly respected by a large circle of friends and neighbors. His death was unexpected, although he had been in bad health for some time but was reported better up to within a short time of his death. He leaves a wife and a large family of grown up children to mourn his death. The funeral was conducted by Rev. W.S. Jordan at Lower Union, at 11 o'clock Tuesday. Burial in the cemetery adjoining. Among his children are Isaac and Frank Gingerick, of this city.
