Louis L. Longo (1914-2004)
Born in Jersey City, NJ on July 13, 1914; died on February 19, 2004. He married Alexis A. ''Lex'' Carroll in Wabash on April 19, 1934; she died
January 21, 2004. He is survived by his daughter, Carole J. Hankel of Dayton,
Ohio; his grandson, Michael Hankel also of Dayton; his granddaughter, Lisa
(Thomas) Locascio of Elk Grove Village, Illinois; and his two
great-granddaughters, Christina Alexis and Amanda Elizabeth Locascio of Elk
Grove Village. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by four sisters
and two brothers.
''Louie'' and his wife owned and operated Louie's Candy Kitchen in North
Manchester from 1934 - 2003. He was a founding member of St. Robert's Catholic
Church.
The Longo's spent their summers at their cottage at Lake Tippecanoe. He
treasured his 1950 Cadillac Fleetwood which he owned until 2003.
