Mrs. George W. Royer, a life long resident of this vicinity, died about five o'clock this morning at her home at 205 East Fifth street. She had been in failing health for some time, but seriously ill from paralysis only a few days. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock at the Christian church. Rev. C.A. Duncan will conduct the service and burial will be in Fairview cemetery.
Mrs. Royer's maiden name was Sarah Kester. She was the daughter of William and Sarah Kester and was born about four miles east of North Manchester 75 years ago September 29. She married George W. Royer December 25, 1879, and they lived most of their married life on a farm east of North Manchester. He died fourteen years ago. Surviving are two children, Miss Mabel Royer, who lived with her mother, and Mrs. Lyman Stands also of North Manchester. There is one grandson, Max Stands. Mrs. Royer was a lifelong member of the Christian church.
