Nettie, youngest daughter of Reuben Abbott, living near Liberty Mills, died after an illness of but six days, on Thursday last. Funeral Friday by Rev. Manville. Interment at Lower Union cemetery. The death of this young lady is a terrible affliction on those parents and casts a pall of sorrow over a large circle of friends who knew her but to love her.

Since death has invaded the hitherto happy home of our sister and brother S.J. and R. Abbott, and removed from it their beloved daughter Nettie V., and left them sorrowing and disconsolate we, the officers and members of Colfax Rebekah degree lodge, No. 242, I.O.O.F., tender them our most sincere sympathy and recommend them to the tenderness of Him who has said "blessed are they that sorrow for they shall be comforted," and ask them to remember that

"A bruised reed He will not break;
Afflictions all his children feel.
He wounds them for His mercy's sake;
He wounds to heal."
