RE: September trip to Elkins WV for Music and Railroads on September 21 to September 23, 2016

 

Arrive in Elkins West Virginia Wednesday afternoon and check into our hotel.  We will then go to dinner at The Gandy Dancer which will be followed by a musical variety show

by the Mountain Memories Show Band.

On Thursday we will board Cheat Mountain Salamanders’s passenger cars for a 2 ½ hour train ride through the mountain wildness of West Virginia with a photo stop at the High Falls of the Cheat River.  We will have lunch on board the train. 

In the afternoon our coach will take us to Cass, WV to catch our ride on the Cass Scenic Railroad. This historic timber train will take us to Whitaker Station to see how logs were moved out of the forest. 

Dinner that evening will be in Elkins followed by a two hour show by American Mountain Theater showcasing a variety of musical styles that include country, gospel, pop and patriotic tunes.

After breakfast on Friday we will head back to N. Manchester.

 

 

THE SEPTEMBER TRIP COST IS:

$495.00 PER PERSON DOUBLE OCCUPANCY

$599.00 PER PERSON SINGLE OCCUPANCY (I will help you combine to make a double if you are interested)

Price include two dinners, two breakfasts, one lunch, taxes, tips and luggage handling.  Two lunches will be on your own while traveling to and from Elkins.
